I am researching the decline of Australian small rural towns. I will be looking at the larger causes of this worrying trend by reviewing currently research, to create an overview of the issue to date, and using insights from this to create a survey open to public response. Replies to my survey will give a broad insight into the current state of affairs, and, when analysed, should yield some suggestions for further research as well as both long and short term advice for rural revitalisation in Australia.
